The USDA Forest Service’s Coeur d’Alene Nursery was established in 1960 on 222 acres. The nursery’s mission is to provide quality seedlings for publicly owned lands and to develop the best possible methods for producing quality seedlings. To fulfill this mission, the nursery maintains 130 acres of seedbeds and 17 greenhouses. The nursery also cleans, tests, and stores seed, and provides seedling quality testing. The nursery’s 28 permanent employees have a combined 500 years of nursery experience. - 5:30 Evening Event (included with registration)
